Amy:
Huh? What time is it…?
어? 지금 몇 시야…?

Amy:
8:10?! No way! My class starts in less than an hour!
8시 10분?! 말도 안 돼! 수업 시작까지 한 시간도 안 남았잖아!

Amy:
Why didn’t my alarm ring?! Did I forget to set it?
왜 알람이 안 울린 거야?! 알람 설정 안 했나?!

Amy:
Ugh… I set it for 7:00, but the volume was off? Seriously?!
으으… 7시로 맞춰놨는데, 볼륨이 꺼져 있었네? 진짜?!

Amy:
Okay, okay. Don’t panic. Just get ready.
좋아, 좋아. 당황하지 말고, 그냥 빨리 준비하자.

Amy:
Mom! Why didn’t you wake me up?
엄마! 왜 나 안 깨웠어요?

Linda:
Good morning to you too. I thought you had an alarm set?
너도 안녕. 알람 맞춰놨다고 하지 않았니?

Amy:
I did! But it didn’t go off! Or maybe I turned it off… I don’t even know.
맞춰놨어요! 근데 안 울렸어요! 아니면 내가 꺼버린 건가… 모르겠어요.

Ryan:
Someone had a rough night?
누가 어젯밤에 고생 좀 했나 본데?

Amy:
I stayed up finishing homework. And now I’m gonna be late!
숙제 하느라 늦게까지 깨어 있었단 말이야. 지금 지각하게 생겼다고!

Linda:
Eat something at least. Toast?
뭐라도 먹고 가. 토스트 줄까?

Amy:
I don’t have time!
시간 없어요!

Ryan:
You always say that, but you still stand around complaining.
누난 맨날 시간 없다고 하면서도 이렇게 서서 불평은 꼭 하더라.

Amy:

고맙다, 라이언. 참 도움 된다.

Linda:
Here, at least take a banana.
여기, 바나나라도 챙겨 가.

Amy:
Thanks, Mom.

Ryan:
So what’s the plan? Run to the bus like a maniac?
그래서 지금 계획은 뭐야? 미친 듯이 버스까지 달리는 거야?

Amy:
That’s exactly the plan. Right after I get my bag together.

Linda:

Amy:
I won’t! Just need to throw everything in and go!
알았어요! 그냥 다 쑤셔 넣고 가면 돼요!

Amy:
Okay… bag, notebook, pen… water bottle...
좋아… 가방, 공책, 펜… 물병...

Amy:
Wait. Where’s my homework?

Amy:

Episode 2: Where’s My Homework?

Amy:
Okay, okay... notebook, charger, pen... where’s my homework?
좋아, 좋아... 공책, 충전기, 펜... 근데 숙제는?

Amy:
No, not here. Come on, where did I put it?
없어, 여기도 아니야. 도대체 어디에 둔 거야?

Amy:
Seriously?! This is not the time for hide-and-seek!
진심이야?! 지금 숨바꼭질할 때 아니라고!

Amy:
Has anyone seen a red folder?! My homework is in it!
혹시 빨간 파일 본 사람 있어요?! 내 숙제가 그 안에 있어요!

Ryan:
What kind of folder?
어떤 파일?

Amy:
Red! Thin! Full of stress and pain!
빨간색! 얇고! 스트레스와 고통이 가득 찬 그 파일!

Linda:
Did you check the dining table? You were studying there last night.
어젯밤에 식탁에서 공부했잖니. 거기 확인해 봤어?

Amy:
Right! Thank you!
맞다! 고마워요!

Amy:
Yes! Found you! You little troublemaker.
찾았다! 요 말썽꾸러기!

Amy:
Everything’s here. Thank goodness.
다 있다. 휴, 다행이다.

Linda:
Take this for lunch. You’ll need energy.
점심으로 가져가. 에너지가 필요할 거야.

Amy:
You’re the best, Mom. I don’t know how you stay so calm in the mornings.
엄마 최고예요. 어떻게 아침마다 이렇게 침착할 수 있어요?

Ryan:
Because she doesn’t wake up ten minutes before class.
수업 열 분 전에 일어나지 않으니까 그렇지.

Amy:

재밌네, 정말.

Linda:
Hurry now. The bus comes in five minutes.
서둘러. 버스 5분 후에 온다.

Amy:
I’m going! Backpack, water bottle, homework… I think I have everything.
저 가요! 가방, 물병, 숙제... 다 챙긴 것 같아요.

Ryan:
Except your calm.
침착함 빼고.

Amy:
I’ll find it on the way!

Okay, I’ve got this. Just catch the bus. No more surprises!
좋아, 할 수 있어. 그냥 버스만 타면 돼. 더 이상 문제는 없어야 해!

Amy:
Wait... where’s my bus pass?
잠깐만… 내 버스카드는?

Amy:
No no no! Did I drop it?
안 돼 안 돼 안 돼! 떨어뜨렸나?

Linda:
Amy! Looking for this?
에이미! 이거 찾고 있었지?

Amy:
Yes! Thank you! I must’ve dropped it on the way out.
맞아요! 고마워요! 나오면서 떨어뜨렸나 봐요.

Linda:
Go! You can still make it!
어서 가! 아직 버스 탈 수 있어!

Amy:
Okay! Thank you so much!
알았어요! 정말 고마워요!

Amy:
Ugh! My shoes! Are you serious?!
으악! 내 신발! 진짜 왜 이래?!

Amy:
It’s fine. It’s just mud. No big deal…
괜찮아. 그냥 진흙이야. 별일 아냐…

Stranger:
Oh! I’m so sorry!
어! 정말 죄송해요!

Amy:
Oh no…! It’s okay, it’s okay. Just a little… hot.
아… 안 돼…! 괜찮아요, 괜찮아요. 그냥 조금… 뜨거울 뿐이에요.

Stranger:
Are you alright?
정말 괜찮으세요?

Amy:
Yeah. I’m fine. Really. Thank you.
네. 괜찮아요. 정말로요. 감사합니다.

Amy:
Okay. I just need to get on that bus.
좋아. 그냥 버스만 타면 돼.

Amy:

Amy:
Yes! I made it!

Episode 4: A Friend on the Bus
에피소드 4: 버스에서 만난 친구


Amy:
Hey, Mia. Can I sit here?
미아, 여기 앉아도 돼?

Mia:
Amy! Of course. When did you get on?
에이미! 당연하지. 언제 탔어?

Amy:
Just now. I nearly missed it.
방금. 거의 못 탈 뻔했어.

Mia:
I didn’t see you at the stop. Everything okay?
정류장에서 못 봤는데? 무슨 일 있었어?

Amy:
Yeah, but barely. You won’t believe my morning.
응, 겨우. 오늘 아침 완전 난리였어.

Mia:
Let me guess… alarm?
혹시… 알람 때문?

Amy:
Didn’t ring. Then I lost my homework, stepped in mud, and spilled coffee on me.
안 울렸지. 그다음엔 숙제 잃어버리고, 진흙 밟고, 커피까지 쏟았어.

Mia:
Oh wow, that’s definitely latte damage.
우와, 이건 진짜 라떼 흔적이네.

Amy:
From a random guy who wasn’t looking where he was going.
아무데나 보고 걷는 남자가 엎질렀어.

Mia:
Rough morning. But you made it.
험난한 아침이네. 그래도 결국 버스 탔잖아.

Mia:
So… did you find your homework in the end?
그래서… 숙제는 결국 찾았어?

Amy:
Right here. After tearing the house apart.
여기 있어. 집을 다 뒤집은 끝에.

Mia:
You’re a survivor. Did you even eat?
대단한 생존자네. 뭐라도 먹었어?

Amy:
Half a banana. I was gonna eat my sandwich, but I think it’s a pancake now.
바나나 반 쪽. 샌드위치 먹으려 했는데, 지금쯤 팬케이크 됐을 걸.

Mia:
Want some of my chocolate?
내 초콜릿 먹을래?

Amy:
Seriously? You’re a lifesaver.
진심이야? 너 진짜 천사야.

Amy:
You’re the best. Thank you.
진짜 최고야. 고마워.

Mia:
Anytime. That’s what friends are for.
언제든지. 친구잖아.

Amy:
I was so stressed earlier, but now... this is nice.
아까까지만 해도 엄청 스트레스였는데, 지금은… 괜찮다.

Mia:
You always rush around, but you always make it. It's your superpower.
넌 항상 정신없이 다니지만, 항상 잘 해내잖아. 그게 네 초능력이야.

Amy:
Supergirl… in muddy shoes.
진흙 신발 신은 슈퍼걸.

Bus Driver:
Next stop: Central Campus.
다음 정류장: 센트럴 캠퍼스입니다.

Amy:
I can’t believe I made it. Chaos and all.
진짜 믿기지 않아. 이런 난리 속에서도 도착이라니.

Mia:
And look—you’re on time, you have your homework, and you got a snack.
봐봐—시간도 맞췄지, 숙제도 챙겼지, 간식도 먹었지.

Amy:
And I get to sit next to you. Triple win.
그리고 널 옆에 두고 앉아 있잖아. 완벽한 삼중 승리.

Mia:
Aww. You’re lucky I didn’t let someone else take the seat.
아~ 누가 먼저 앉았을 수도 있었는데, 내가 안 내줬으니 다행이지.

Amy:
I’ll save you one next time.
다음엔 내가 자리 맡아줄게.

Mia:
I’ll hold you to that.
꼭 지켜야 해.

Amy:
Next time, I’m setting three alarms. One with sound.
다음엔 알람을 세 개 맞춰야겠어. 소리도 켜고.

Mia:
Good plan. But if not, I’ll still save you a seat.
좋은 계획이네. 그래도 또 늦으면 내가 자리 맡아줄게.

Amy:
